Ferris
Residence
West Bloomfield, Michigan
Located on a desirable lake in West Bloomfield, the large wooded lot was
the main reason the client purchased the property. The existing house
didn’t meet the client’s needs functionally or aesthetically. An upper
level was added to provide a master suite, exercise room, library loft
and a four-season sunroom. The existing main level was renovated and
expanded to give the client more space for entertaining.
Large expansive windows, a deck strategically placed for privacy and to
allow daylight to the lower level and a new patio providing a
comfortable ground level gathering site, makes this lake front home
useful and delightful for all seasons.
This carefully and expertly remodeled home is an excellent example of
how a properly executed renovation can turn an old and out-of-date
structure into a delightful destination. |

Lemmer
Residence
Birmingham, Michigan
This successfully remodeled residence has become one of the well
appointed statements of an upscale renaissance neighborhood. The
architectural style incorporated into the old structure, reflects the
owner’s desire to utilize the full potential of an older house with an
expanded and updated floor plan and a greatly enriched architectural
street presence.
The use of traditional features throughout the residence communicates
the desire of the clients to have a comfortable and warm home. The same
elements help to portray that welcoming image to the neighborhood.
The rearranged interior spaces reflect the owner’s active lifestyle. The
main level’s existing entry, kitchen, recreation room, and den have been
remodeled to replace the old cramped feeling with a more open and
flowing space.
The upper level has been more than doubled in size to provide roomier
bathrooms and bedrooms as well as a luxurious master bedroom suite. In
addition, a bonus space has been added above the garage for a future
living suite with an added second stair for privacy and flexibility. |
